Come and discover Paris on Valentine's Day

Categories : Events, published on : 1/26/15

If you’re thinking about ways to surprise your loved one on Valentine’s Day, then why not come and discover Paris, the capital of love, on this most romantic day of the year? The capital has so much to offer at any time, but on this particular day she takes on an added resonance; an ambience of romance that you simply have to experience. All of us here at L'Ouest Hotel will make you most welcome, and we have some suggestions for an idyllic Valentine’s Day in the city that is the essence of amour.

Our recommendations for a wonderful Valentine’s Day in Paris

Touring the city of Paris as a couple is one of the most delightful things to do on Valentine’s Day. You could nestle up together beneath a warm blanket in a horse drawn carriage. Or, for a particularly Parisian experience, how about a guided tour in a convertible or perhaps a glass topped 2CV, with the driver telling you all about the city’s long and proud history? Or if you wish to wait until the evening, you will certainly enjoy an intimate dinner for two as you take a cruise along the Seine. World famous monuments and landmarks glide by as the lights of Paris twinkle in the waters of the river like a sunken constellation of stars.

Champagne should most definitely be on the romance agenda, and if you can’t wait until dinner then how about sipping a glass or two of bubbly atop the Eiffel Tower? There’s a champagne bar up there now to provide refreshment while you’re enjoying the breath-taking view.

Ride the funicular railway up the flanks of the hill of Montmartre, or if you’re feeling particularly energetic you can walk hand in hand to the top, where the gleaming stone of the Sacré-Coeur basilica will shine like your love. While in the vicinity, don’t forget to stop by the Place des Abbesses, where Le Mur des Je T'aime, the I Love You Wall awaits. Here those three magical words are written a thousand times in 300 languages. What more needs to be said?
